DAVID KANANI

President

David Kanani is the president of Kanani Advisory Group and attributes his years of success to building close relationships with clients, regardless of the size of their accounts.

Since entering the financial services industry in 1986, David has advised hundreds of retirees and individuals approaching retirement. He focuses on the safest strategies to help protect and preserve clients’ assets, increase their retirement income, assist in reducing taxes and help them guard against inflation.

David is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the National Ethics Bureau. He has 36 years of experience in wealth management and retirement planning. David is also an independent financial fiduciary. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisville and continues to train in order to stay informed of constant changes in the field.

In his free time, David loves to tinker with his classic 1969 Mercedes and is an avid mountain biker. He and his family also enjoy snowboarding in the winter and traveling in the summer. David has been happily married to his beautiful high school sweetheart, Carrie, since 1987. Together, they have raised two wonderful children, Nura and Zia, and lovingly call San Clemente, California, their home. What he is now most proud of is being a grandfather.

NEDA KANANI

Financial Advisor

Neda Kanani is a financial advisor at Kanani Advisory Group. She works with retirees and pre-retirees and helps them plan for retirement. She is also passionate about educating and assisting women with their finances and retirement plans.

Neda holds licenses in life and health insurance in California and is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative, having passed her Series 65 securities examination. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration with a finance concentration from Cal State Fullerton.

In her leisure time, Neda enjoys working out, going to the beach, off-roading in her Jeep Wrangler, and spending time with her family and dog.

Leila Parvaneh

Financial Professional

Leila Parvaneh is a financial professional at Kanani Advisory Group. She works with retirees and pre-retirees and helps them plan for retirement. She is also passionate about educating and assisting women with their finances and retirement plans.

Leila holds licenses in life and health insurance in California and has passed her Series 63, Series 6 and SIE securities examination. She also holds a Master’s in business administration with a leadership concentration from Brandman University.

In her leisure time, Leila enjoys reading poems, watching films, swimming, playing volleyball, hanging out with her friends and spending time with her two daughters.

Veronica Felipe

Director of Business

As Kanani Advisory Group’s Director of Business, Veronica is charged with overseeing the firms’ operations, transactions, and onboarding of all new clients. She manages the team’s procedures, including case management, developing and executing strategic business plans and team building, all with an emphasis on compliance and customer service.

Veronica holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a bachelor’s degree in cinema, television arts from Cal State Fullerton. She started her career with Kanani Advisory Group in 2016 as a part-time office assistant and has diligently learned the firm’s operation process.

Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, is an avid movie-goer, and loves spending time with her family.

Leslie Dekker

Client Services

Joining the Kanani Advisory Group team in 2019, Leslie enjoys her role servicing our clients. Leslie processes the day-to-day business for existing clients and their accounts.

Leslie holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Cal State Fullerton. Prior to joining our team, she held positions in executive-level management for a prominent telecommunications firm and as an associate accountant. Leslie’s extensive experience in call center management, customer service and operations management are many of her past career highlights.

Outside of the office, Leslie’s main focuses are her children and family. She also finds time to volunteer within the school system in many different capacities. When she can, Leslie enjoys working on her golf game.

Cassie Lomen

Director of Marketing

Cassie Lomen is the Director of Marketing at Kanani Advisory Group. Her work focuses on managing and facilitating seminars, events, and key meetings between clients and the firm’s financial advisors. She also manages the firm’s social media accounts and advertising initiatives.

Cassie diligently aims to make all client experiences seamless, effectively working to deliver exceptional events for clients and their guests. Her background in theater and customer service has shaped Cassie into an affable person and excellent problem solver.

Cassie attended Citrus College where she studied literature and the performing arts, and she holds an acting & modeling certificate from Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Los Angeles. Outside of her work life, Cassie is an avid writer, working on her first two fictional novels that were inspired by some of her favorite books as a teenager. In her spare time, she also enjoys going on adventures and spending time with her husband and pets.

CARRIE KANANI, JD

Administrative Assistant

Carrie handles many of the administrative aspects of the firm. She also is passionate about client service. She was previously an estate attorney practicing in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned her Juris Doctor and undergraduate degrees from the University of Louisville.

A committed advocate of community service, Carrie is a passionate supporter of Family Assistance Ministries, a homeless prevention agency, where she has volunteered since 2009. She also supports other charitable endeavors such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Wounded Warrior Project.
